Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 September 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to purchases from 8bit Posters at https://8bitposters.com. Please read them alongside our Delivery information, Returns & Refunds policy and Privacy Policy. For questions or complaints, email orders@8bitposters.com.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. If another statement on the website conflicts with your mandatory statutory rights, those rights take priority.

Products and formats

Select your format and size carefully before ordering. Physical prints are supplied unframed; frames and room accessories shown in photographs are for illustration and are not included. Digital Download options supply an image file only, with no physical shipment. You need a compatible device and software to open and use the supplied file.

Product descriptions and the selected option identify what you are buying. Screen settings can affect displayed colours, but products must still match their description and meet applicable quality standards. For a personalised order, check the details you submit and contact us promptly if a correction is needed.

Prices, payment and orders

The selected product price and available currency are shown before you place your order. Applicable taxes and any charges payable to us are shown in checkout. Free worldwide delivery applies to physical posters as advertised. Payment is taken through the available checkout providers.

Check the format, quantity, contact details and delivery address before submitting your order. Placing an order creates an obligation to pay the displayed total. Your order email records the purchase details. If we cannot supply an order, we will tell you and refund any payment for the unavailable item. If we discover a genuine pricing or description error, we will contact you to resolve it rather than charge a higher amount without your agreement.

Offers

Where the Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion is displayed, add four eligible posters to your basket and the cheapest is discounted automatically, as shown before payment. For a partial return, the refund reflects the amount actually paid for the returned goods and any lawful adjustment to a promotion; it does not exceed the amount paid. Statutory cancellation and faulty-goods rights still apply to discounted items.

Production and delivery

Physical orders are produced and fulfilled through our print partner Gelato and its delivery network. We remain your point of contact for the order. The product-page timeline estimates dispatch two weekdays after the scheduled printing date and delivery three weekdays after dispatch, using a 2pm UK-time weekday cutoff. See our Delivery information for the full explanation and limitations.

Dates are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed deadline. Delivery depends on destination, public holidays and carrier conditions. Contact us before ordering if you need delivery by a particular date. If delivery is delayed, contact us for help; these estimates do not remove your rights concerning late or failed delivery. Goods remain our responsibility until delivered to you or a person you designate, subject to any applicable statutory exception.

Cancellation and returns

For eligible physical goods bought by a UK consumer, you can cancel within 14 days after the day you receive them. After notifying us, you have a further 14 days to return the goods. You can inspect them as you would in a shop. We may make a lawful deduction for handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

You pay the return postage for a change-of-mind return unless we agree otherwise. We will cover reasonable return costs where goods are faulty or not as described. Contact us before posting a return to obtain the correct instructions; do not send it to a production facility without our instructions. See our Returns & Refunds policy for details.

For an eligible cancellation, we refund the amount due, including the least expensive standard delivery charge we offered where applicable, through the original payment method. For returned goods, we may withhold payment until we receive the goods or evidence of return, whichever comes first. Refunds are made within the applicable statutory period, normally within 14 days after we receive the goods or evidence of return. Premium delivery costs above our standard option need not be refunded.

The change-of-mind exception for goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised applies only where the legal conditions for that exception are met. Printing a standard catalogue design after an order is placed does not by itself remove your cancellation rights.

Digital downloads

Download access is provided after payment is confirmed, subject to the product’s stated fulfilment arrangements. Contact us if you cannot access your file or receive the wrong file.

A UK consumer normally has 14 days from making a digital-content contract to cancel. This right is lost for early supply only when you expressly consent to supply during that period, acknowledge that you will lose the cancellation right, and the required confirmation is provided. Accepting these general terms alone is not that separate consent. Where the required consent and acknowledgement have not been obtained, we will not rely on a blanket “no refunds for downloads” rule.

Your rights concerning faulty, incorrectly described or inaccessible digital content remain unaffected. Contact us so we can provide the appropriate remedy under applicable law.

Damaged, incorrect or faulty items

Email us with your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs of damage and packaging can help us resolve the issue. We will arrange the appropriate remedy, which may include replacement or refund. Nothing in our request for information limits your statutory rights or imposes an arbitrary deadline on a valid claim.

Cancellation notice

You may cancel using any clear statement sent to our support email. You may use this wording, but do not have to:

To 8bit Posters, orders@8bitposters.com: I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following goods or digital content: [describe items]. Order number: [number]. Ordered on/received on: [dates]. Customer name: [name]. Customer address: [address]. Date: [date].

Artwork and use of the website

Purchasing a print or download does not transfer ownership of copyrights or trademarks in the artwork, game names or other material. Do not use the website to submit unlawful material, interfere with its operation or misuse another person’s information. Any use of third-party intellectual property remains subject to the relevant rights.

Liability and disputes

We are responsible for losses for which applicable law makes us liable. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not require consumers to give up mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law.

Please contact us first if there is a problem so we can try to resolve it. Customers outside the UK may have additional mandatory rights under their local laws.

Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases. Changes do not retrospectively reduce rights attached to an existing order. Keep a copy of the terms and order information supplied at the time of purchase.
